Q-Chain LCM
The colorimetric evaluation of paints and coatings is usually done by applying and drying the material with subsequent manual measurement. This "dry" process takes up to several hours and may delay the release of batches. In addition, in the development series tests can be carried out only with great effort. Research has also shown that the LCM method is much more reproducible than "dry" processes, because fewer machining processes are required and the measurement is semi-automatic - and thus without direct user influence.
Surface Scanner Automatic
The Q-Chain® Surface Scanner is a measuring machine with which even flat test pieces (usually painted sheets or plates) can be recorded spatially resolved in a predefined measuring grid by various standard measuring devices and statistically evaluated by integrated software.
The measuring instruments used in the standard version are hand-held measuring instruments, which are externally triggered directly by integration in the measuring machines and the measured values are read out.
The use of the Q-Chain® Surface Scanner Automatic is versatile. It is possible to measure and evaluate specimens for pure color measurements (eg color tone templates) or even for pure layer thickness measurements (eg spray pattern analyzes).
Poly Shear
Liquid paint systems are kept in ring lines in order to supply applicators of various types on the one hand constantly with paint and on the other hand to keep the paint material in motion.
The paint in the loop is mechanically stressed, for example by compression and relaxation or by promotion and dosage. The resulting shear can lead to a change in the complex composite paint system, which affects the technical and optical properties. This can mean that a complete loop has to be emptied - with a high economic damage for manufacturers and operators.
Q-Chain SuMo
The evaluation of corrosion protection test panels is often carried out, based on DIN EN ISO 4628 - 8, by visual assessment with the aid of a ruler or similar measuring equipment. This is on the one hand laborious, on the other hand fraught with errors.
The Q-Chain® SuMo is a fully automatic device for the measurement of corrosion protection test sheets, which covers this process from the creation of measurement grids to the evaluation. The applied sensors also eliminate the removal of delaminated or rusted areas.
Q-Chain Process AI
Q-Chain Process AI combines Orontecs innovative measurement systems with IT systems.
Electronic data communication also offers sustainable benefits in the laboratory sector. On the one hand, the processes become leaner and thus more effective. Also accounts for possible sources of error by manual inputs of the corresponding protocols.
Q-Chain Process AI is thus the logical continuation of automated testing processes. The solution creates potential for the employees and relieves them of annoying administrative tasks.
