Carton Force Analyser (CFA)

The Hanatek Carton Force Analyser measures the forces that limit the running speed of folding box board packaging. By measuring the stiffness of the substrate and crease bending resistance the user can optimise cartons for faster running and packaging speeds. The instrument allows individual creases to be analysed identifying problem areas in packaging design or manufacture. Industry research indicates that the packaging speeds of pre-glued skillets is governed by the energy required to open creases. The CFA is the first instrument to isolate and accurately measure this key parameter.
The instrument measures: Crease folding force at 90°, Crease folding force at any angle up to 145° with a full graphical profile of the forces during test. Board stiffness at 15° or 7.5°, individual crease opening force and whole carton opening force.

Carton Crease Proofer (CCP)

The Hanatek Carton Crease Proofer (CCP) allows the user to produce production quality crease samples without committing valuable machine time.
The CCP comes complete with commercially produced rules and dies which are identical to those used on a full sized cut and crease machine.

Precision Thickness Gauge (FT3)

The Hanatek FT3 Precision Thickness Gauge is specifically designed to quickly and accurately measure the thickness of a variety of substrates including film, paper, board, foil, tissue and textiles.
Operated via an intuitive touch screen interface the instrument will allow the user to define batch size, dwell time & measuring speed
Full test statistics can be easily viewed or printed to label for easy documentation control.
Contact pressure and contact area are factory set options dependent on the testing standard used, repeatability of better than 0.4 µm and resolution of 0.1 µm
For compliance to multiple standards, please enquire about the Hanatek Ft3-V Variable Force Thickness Gauge

Rub Tester and Abrasion Tester (RT4)

The Hanatek Rub and Abrasion tester brings new levels of repeatability and convenience to testing the durability of inks and coatings on any printed material.
The instrument is used for testing the ink/print, marking and rub resistance of cartons, films, labels and commercial printed material. The optional scratch test attachment is used for checking the cure and adhesion of UV inks and coatings whilst the optional wet rub test attachment checks for solvent resistance.

Universal Sample Cutter

The Hanatek Universal Sample Cutter has been designed for the simple cutting of samples for the packaging laboratory.Multiple samples of the same shape can be made from a single sheet and is suitable for a variety of substrates. The unit also has user configurable dies

Advanced Friction Tester (COF Tester)

The Hanatek Advanced Friction tester is the most comprehensive tool available for measuring the coefficient of friction of plastic film, printed cartons, packaging substrates or paper.

This flexible instrument can also be used to measure and display the frictional values of any flat surface including rubber, flooring plastics textile and leather.

In addition to providing static and dynamic slip values for a surface , the instrument allows the full friction force output to be displayed, stored and compared. This unique ability helps a manufacturer to relate the feeding and running speeds of a product to its surface characteristics.

The instrument is available with optional extras to measure peel strength of adhesives, tear strength of substrates and the blocking of plastic films and coated cartons.

Film Shrink Tester

The film shrink tester is used to measure the effect of temperature on plastic films. The application of heat causes certain plastic films to rapidly contract; this effect can be used to seal and pack many items from food to consumer goods. The shrink effect is due to internal forces locked into the film during manufacture being released by heating. It is also known as linear thermal shrink or free shrink. The amount of shrinkage is dependent on the film type, thickness, and sealing temperature. Testing the percentage shrink of a film ensures that it is suitable for a particular packaging application and establishes the correct temperature for that application.

Precision Thickness Gauge (LAB)

The Hanatek Precision Thickness Gauge (LAB) FT3-V is specifically designed for use by testing laboratories. Compliance to multiple standards is achieved by varying the weight applied to the measurement platen and interchangeable measuring heads to vary the contact area.

The instrument is specifically designed to quickly and accurately measure the thickness of a variety of substrates including film, paper, board, foil, tissue and textiles.

Operated via an intuitive touch screen interface the instrument will allow the user to define batch size, dwell time & measuring speed.

Full test statistics can be easily viewed or printed to label for easy documentation control.

Contact pressure varied by adding additional weights to measurement platen. Contact area is  variable from 6 - 50 mm

Crease and Board Stiffness Tester (CBT1)

The Hanatek CBT1 Crease and Board Stiffness Tester gives board manufacturers, printers and packing companies the ability to predict the runability of a sample board or finished carton.

The instrument measures crease folding force at 90°, board stiffness at 15° and requires no external software for operation. It automatically calculates the crease to board stiffness ratio for instant indication as to whether the material will run correctly on a high speed packaging machine.

Compact Friction Tester

This precision friction tester provides detailed information of the slip characteristics of packaging material.

Surface slip is a key factor when printing, erecting or filling packaging materials on an automatic line. Friction parameters help the manufacturer understand how the finish of a blown film or printed carton can influence the feeding and running speed.

In addition to these values the CFT Compact Friction Tester produces detailed force graphs and statistics of multiple tests that can be printed to date / time stamped label (optional extra).

Novo-Haze TX Transmission Hazemeter

Fast and accurate measurement of the optical quality of plastic films and other transparent materials.

This instrument measures total transmission and haze according to ASTM D1003 (CIE C), the most important standard used in most QA applications.

Manufactured in direct response to industry requirements, the Novo-Haze TX is offered at huge savings compared to other instruments which contain additional superfluous test methods.

The instrument features an intuitive user friendly interface which minimises the test time and makes it an ideal choice for both QC and R&D.
